About the Theme - Addressing Crime & Violence: Strengthening Communities for the Health, Safety & Wellness of Louisiana Families

Louisiana has a long history of collective trauma, which has influenced past and present generations and will continue to impact future generations until that trauma is acknowledged and addressed. Healthy Blue Louisiana and the Louisiana Public Health Institute are committed to addressing the health and racial inequities that continue to affect the social well-being, health, and health outcomes of our communities throughout Louisiana. The symposium will highlight the importance of elevating community voices in developing equitable solutions to addressing crime and violence in Louisiana.
